52 Years of Happines

Their's is a love story.
A love of home, family, friends, and God.
This is a tribute to two of the best parents that ever existed.  I can say that because I'm their daughter.

Mother and Daddy
Met in August 1946 in Fresno California.  Daddy was a PFC in the Air Force and Mother was a young carefree women looking for the right man.  As Mother and her two girlfriends sauntered down the street that evening, her eyes caught the reflection of a handsome young man in uniform, standing on the street corner with his buddies.  Immediately Mother and her girlfriends decided who would get which GI.  Mother had very good taste in men and naturally she got the "best of show"

And The Rest Is History...
Mother and Daddy were married on March 1, 1947.  Their marriage has spanned fifty-two years, six children, eleven grandchildren, and three great grandchildren.  But this isn't the end. Mother and Daddy are active senior citizens who will never settle for retirement.  Both are very active in their church and spend countless hours still tending to the needs of their adult children.  They have raised two of their grandchildren as well as provided daycare for the others.  Daddy at 72,  continues to mow 2.5 acres of land each week with a walking lawnmower.  Mother at 71, remains the matriarch of the family.  When she isn't chauffeuring for elderly members of her church, you might find her in the kitchen, cooking for a potluck.  In her spare time, she cleans...and enjoys it!

Do Bill and Irma's Children Love Them?

Of course we do!  They continue to build good memories for us everyday and tho we may not say it enough, Mother and Daddy, WE LOVE YOU!

The music you hear playing is "Gone With The Wind".  When Mother and Daddy re-newed their vows at their 50th anniversary, Mother walked down the isle to this music.
